True saltwater is the fastest way to age a boat. Spray bakes into gelcoat, rust freckles bloom on rails and cleats, and offshore and charter hulls oxidize quicker than anywhere else we work. Chalky hulls, cloudy isinglass, and salt-scaled metal are our bread and butter — washed, compounded, polished, and sealed without your boat leaving its slip.
A lot of Cocoa Beach boats live behind the house — on davits or lifts along the canals off the Banana River — where salt air works on them even on the days they never leave the dock. Add a few Port Canaveral offshore runs and you get the classic pattern: chalky gelcoat on the sun side, rust freckles on the rails, and isinglass that’s gone cloudy from spray. All of it is fixable, and all of it is easier to prevent than restore — which is exactly what a sealed hull and a regular wash schedule do.
